PARIS HILTON'S EARLY RELEASE MY VIEWS IN THE DAILY NEWS - FRIDAY!

The editor over the Daily News was kind enough to ask me to write a piece on my opinion on Paris Hilton's early release. Pick up a copy Friday and let me know what you think!

I read your article in the Daily News. However, you do not mention that the judge strictly forbid electronic monitoring in the case. Doesn't that change your opinion on allowing an early release?

Gary, please take the time to review the verbiage in Ms. Margolin's op-ed piece, particularly, "Even where a judge has said EMP is not an option, as in Hilton's case, a sheriff's jurisdiction most often supersedes the court's decision." Moreover, an EMP is not an early release. Quite the contrary, in fact, as the defendant was going to spend the remainder of her whole sentence in the EMP program. Rarely does a defendant serve a sentence in its entirety in Los Angeles' crowded jails.

Evidently, this was taken into consideration when Ms. Margolin composed the piece. It is highly unlikely that an attorney of her stature would compose an article for publication without being wholly informed and addressing the variables in the pertinent situation.

Great job, Allison - you continue to impress California, your country, and now Canada !
